FT: Buzaya 1-1 Luuka

Luuka and Buzaya played out a 1–1 draw at Nawanyago PS Playground on Thursday, October 1, 2026, in the final match of Match Day Four of the MTN Busoga Masaza Cup.

The result saw both sides pick a point, leaving them level on three points from three matches, while Luuka retained top spot in the three-team Kagulu Hill Group.

Luuka took the lead in the 16th minute through Amuke Ashiraf, who put his side ahead and gave them hope of securing their first win of the group stage.

However, Buzaya fought until the final moments and found the equaliser in the 90th minute, with Ekumu Martin scoring to rescue a point for his side.

The draw means neither Luuka nor Buzaya has lost a match in the group, while Bulamogi, who have played two games and collected two points, are also yet to taste defeat.

Kagulu Hill Group has now produced four matches, with all four ending in draws. It is the only group among the four groups in the 2026 competition where every team remains unbeaten and every match played so far has ended in a stalemate.

Kagulu Hill Group Standings

  1. Luuka — 3 games, 3 points
  2. Buzaya — 3 games, 3 points

With the group stage approaching its conclusion, Buzaya will play their final group match away to Bulamogi on October 8, while Luuka will also complete their campaign when they host Bulamogi.
